This service offers specialized consultancy for architects, self-builders, designers, developers, associations, and institutions interested in working with strawbale construction in a rigorous, technically grounded, and context-sensitive way.
The consultancy is based on more than twenty years of direct experience in sustainable architecture, bio-based materials, self-build processes, training, and professional networks related to strawbale construction. My work has included early residential and collective projects in Spain, participation in European training initiatives, teaching, dissemination, technical coordination, and active involvement in the development of professional knowledge around straw as a construction material.
As co-founder of the Red de Construcción con Paja and current coordinator/president of the network, I combine practical design experience with a broad understanding of technical standards, constructive systems, training frameworks, and the current evolution of strawbale construction in Europe.
The consultancy can support projects at different stages: from the first feasibility questions to the review of constructive systems, wall assemblies, material strategies, thermal and hygrothermal behaviour, self-build organization, regulatory approach, or preparation of technical documentation.
